About Us - Jane & Steve Beckett

After living in Spain for a few years, Jane and Steve have recently moved to a beautiful 150 year old cortijo nestling in the mountains between Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco. As well as her dogs, Jane also has a corral full of chickens, guinea fowl and ducks. They are both keen gardeners and enjoy working their almonds, olives and assortment of fruit trees. Jane's baking is infamous and her neighbours and friends are always dropping by for a piece of freshly baked cake!

Jane has been breeding dogs for over 40 years, originally in Cheshire, UK and now in Spain. She started breeding Labradors and now focusses her efforts on Standard Poodles. Her pups have been exported all over the world, including Spain, Japan, Germany, America and even the Bahamas. Jane is interested in both show and working dogs. Many of her pups have been shown and have won prestigious events.

Jane has had a wide variety of breeds of dog over her lifetime and the poodle has impressed her the most. They are incredibly intelligent and easy to train, spotlessly clean and non-allergic. They make a wonderful family pet which is equally at home out in the country, hunting or on the show podium. Very good with children, poodles are social and non-aggressive making great companions.

Poodles are very easy to keep in short coats, and we can help by providing grooming services. We can provide a comissioned photographer for a portrait of your dog.
